BACK FACIAL

Back Facial is a treatment that consists of deep cleansing, exfoliation, and extractions. Back facials are, for the most part, a painless extraction process. The facial typically begins with a gentle steaming to open pores and lift impurities, followed by a deep cleansing and exfoliation. The facial for back concludes with a therapeutic detox mask.

Back facials are beneficial in cleansing those tough-to-reach spots, targeting a variety of skincare needs such as clogged pores, back acne, and dehydrated skin. This treatment mimics many of the traditional techniques used while performing treatments for the face. It incorporates deep cleansing, extractions, and purifying masks. Back facials are particularly fitting treatments during bathing suit season or for people who wear low-back attire.

Back Facial Tips: Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your back facial:

Tip #1: Drink Plenty of Water

It has been longed believed that drinking plenty of water will help flush out any waste and toxin, but there’s no evidence that proofs such claims. The reason drinking plenty of water is important is that it improves skins hydration which maintains your skin's elasticity and improves the overall results of your treatment.

Tip #2: Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds before and after your session to prevent irritation, hyperpigmentation and skin damage. Instead after 12 hours, make sure to use sunscreen to protect your skin and self-tanners to achieve a sun-kissed look without all the damage that tanning involves.

Tip #3: Wear loose clothing.

When clothes rub against each other, it can cause friction which leads to irritation and chafing on your skin.  After your treatment, wear loose clothing to avoid irritation and redness.

Tip #4: Avoid scrubbing and exfoliating your skin.

Avoid scrubbing and exfoliating your skin at home for 24 hours following your facial to give time to the serum and moisturizer to soak into your skin.

Tip #5: Avoid applying makeup and sunscreen.

Avoid applying makeup and sunscreen for 12 hours following your treatment, otherwise, it may irritate your skin.

Tip #6: Speak with your esthetician.

If you have any redness, itching, or irritation after your session, be sure to speak with your esthetician immediately.

Tip #7: Follow up.

Follow up with your back facial appointments to improve your results.
